Chafetz Brumley welcomes Kiona Gallup, the newest attorney to join our family!
Kiona is a recent graduate of Seattle University School of Law, having finished just one year ago with her Juris Doctor. While she was in school, she interned in the WSBA Moderate Means Program, helping to meet the legal needs of the Washington moderate-income population, a population that cannot afford full-fee legal services but does not qualify for free legal aid. Kiona showed a sincere desire to provide public service this early in her career. Here she provided legal analyses as well as assisting with client intakes and referrals. She also interned with the Seattle University Mediation Clinic, serving in EEOC and Small Claims Court mediations.
Before entering law school, Kiona graduated cum laude from Trinity Lutheran College, and she also completed an Advanced Paralegal Certificate program at Edmonds Community College.
During her undergraduate years, Kiona volunteered at the Snohomish County Superior Court as a Legal Assistant, helping Family Law pro se litigants (people representing themselves) with all manner of legal processes, including drafting court documents, service of those documents, and discovering potential witnesses – all the way through the completion of trial.
Kiona is especially skilled at all of the technological aspects of being involved in practicing law, especially Lexis and Westlaw, which are comprehensive collections of legal information, needed to build strong and accurate arguments to win cases for you!
She brings with her a genuine and whole-hearted desire to reach constructive and positive solutions, all while meeting the client’s needs and goals. Kiona has practical experience and a deep understanding of family law proceedings. We at Chafetz Brumley are truly happy to bring Kiona onboard, and look forward to a great future of winning cases and achieving successes for families and clients.
